Hestia Managed Services Ltd manage the Affordable Warmth scheme on behalf of Wolverhampton City Council. Their work is illustrated in the following case study.

This case study comes from Hylston Crescent, where a gentleman suffering from the chronic illness cystic fibrosis has had some health improving changes made to his property.

Mr. Rollinson's heating system was old and unreliable and a Hestia surveyor deemed it to be a risk to his health. As a result of the survey, steps were taken to prioritise him on the Affordable Warmth grant list, and soon after, the ball was rolling for his new heating system to be installed.

The old boiler was replaced with an efficient condensing boiler and several new radiators were fitted. His heating controls were also upgraded to allow more efficient use of the system.

As a result of the work, the energy rating for his property has increased, and the CO₂ emissions of his home have decreased substantially. This means that Mr. Rollinson will save over £100 per year on his fuel bills as well as having a warmer, healthier home.
